Sunderland youngster signs pre-contract with Dunfermline Athletic
Tom Beadling has signed a pre-contract agreement with Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.
The 22-year-old defender spent the second half of last season on loan at the Scottish side and he has now signed a pre-contract agreement with the club, signing a two-year deal from July 1.
Beadling was out of contract this summer and has moved to secure his future away from Wearside.
The centre back, a regular in the Sunderland Under-23 side, made 11 appearances for Dunfermline and scored one goal during his loan stint.
The club tweeted: "DAFC are delighted to announce that midfielder @Tbeadling4 has signed a pre contract with the club, signing a 2 year deal, from the 1st of July."
Beadling, who has played for Sunderland Under-23s in the Checkatrade Trophy, also had a loan spell at Bury last January.
He didn't make a first team appearance during his time at Sunderland and will now link up again with former SAFC winger Allan Johnston, who is manager at Dunfermline.
