It is the seventh time the Black Cats have changed goalkeeper this season.

John O'Shea and Billy Jones have also returned to the starting XI, with Donald Love and Bryan Oviedo dropping out due to injury.

Joel Asoro, who Sunderland feared was out for the season earlier this week, is named on the bench.
