Motoring fans are set to be revved up as an annual engine rally returns with a variety of heart-stopping displays.
Sunderland Traction Engine Rally takes place at Herrington Country Park over the early May Bank Holiday.
There will be full-sized and miniature steam engines, fairground organs, vintage cars and commercial lorries and buses on show as well as classic motorcycles and vintage tractors.
There will also be the opportunity to help drive a steam engine.
Performing in the main arena will be Flyin’ Ryan’s Stunt Show – an amazing show of motorcycle tricks and freestyle jumps.
Attempts will be made to jump steam engines, plus a show-stopping fire stunt.
Also performing in the main arena will be the popular Ridgeside Falconry Display Team and the Ridgeside Terrier Racing Team.
There will be plenty on offer for children with both old-time and modern funfairs, quad bike rides, a climbing wall and a giant inflatable slide.
Also performing over the three days live on stage will be the singing and dancing Crazy Bears.
Adults and kids alike will also have the chance to meet birds of prey including owls, falcons and hawks, and a reptile marquee featuring an array of snakes and spiders.
The rally will be on from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, April 30, Sunday, May 1, and Monday, May 2.
A licensed bar, food marquee and catering outlets will all be serving refreshments.
