TWO teenagers had to be rescued after a game of hide and seek went wrong.

The 15-year-old boys managed to trap themselves inside a industrial-sized wheelie bin in Sunderland.

Friends of the pair called 999 after the youngsters’ mishap at Seaburn Dene Primary School, on Thursday evening.

Firefighters from Fulwell station were called to the school, in Torver Crescent at 8pm. They used a specialist key to unlock the bin and free the boys, who were shaken but unhurt by their experience.
