Farringdon welcomed their new signing from Valencia U18s, Matty “De La Peña” Morris for his first taste of English football against a strong Southwick side staking their own title claim.

David “Busta” Paul broke the deadlock.

Ash Davis burst through a few challenges and his shot was saved only to pop into the air for Paul to nod over keeper Paul Cromack.

Southwick hit back through the impressive James Fairley, who raced free to dink the ball over Kyle Donaldson to level.

Farra dominated the second half and got themselves in front after Davis was fouled in the box and Paul stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way from the spot.

It was soon 3-1 as the outstanding Ryan Mather shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

Moments later, Paul completed his well-taken hat-trick with a rocket into the roof from 15 yards.

Debutant sub Morris quickly showed his stuff, surging down the the left and cutting inside to lift a delightful chip into the far top corner from 20 yards to finish the scoring.

Barney Dobinson shone for Southwick.

Ryhope Foresters managed to pull away from the drop zone after a surprising 2-0 win at second-top Silksworth Paragon.

The win takes their points total to five and they hope this is the start of a good run.

Lewis Lynn was the star performer for Paragon, but Spence was the man of the moment with a double for Ryhope.

Redhouse Last Orders kept the pressure on First Division leaders O’Brien Waste Recycling with a relatively easy 4-2 win over basement boys Pennywell Comrades.

Paul Stokoe hit a double and Marc Moon increased the scoreline before Pennywell rallied, with star man Gavin Bradford and Adam Lewis on target.

Pennywell bravely tried to get something from the game, but it was Redhouse who found the net again, Michael Smith sealing the victory.

Keeper Neil Middlemiss was outstanding for Last Orders.

The Royal Marine surprised in-form Willow Pond with a 3-1 away triumph.

The Marine have pulled away from the relegation zone with three important points courtesy of a clinical Anth Clifton hat-trick.

Willow had star man David Hurrell Jnr replying.

Thorney Close Inn continued their unbeaten run and mini revival with another fine win, 2-1 at Oddies.

Alan Oliver and star man Peter Greenwell found the net to cancel out Taylor’s early effort for Oddies. Both teams had further chances, but a great defensive display by the Thorney back four ensured the win.
