BLACK Cats will be stripping out of their kits for a good cause. SAFC players are gearing up to swap football for fashion in the club’s annual catwalk show.

First team stars will be among those strutting their stuff at the fifth annual Fashion Strikes fashion show at the Stadium of Light on Monday, November 25.

The event will have an Italian theme and will raise money for the club’s charitable arm, the Foundation of Light, which uses sport to engage with children, young people and families in the region. As well as modelling clothes donated for the occasion by shops at Metrocentre, players will host tables, giving guests the chance to mingle with some of the club’s most famous faces.

Katrina Quinn, events co-ordinator at the stadium, said: “The foundation’s annual fashion show has become a firm fixture on the social calendar and this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

“Guests will be treated to a gourmet dinner, courtesy of 3663, and live entertainment and will also be able to snap up some gorgeous Christmas gifts and accessories at a number of stalls throughout the evening.”

Tickets for the Passione Italiana – Fashion Strikes event cost £125 each or £1,000 for a table of 10. For more information Tel. 551 5191, email Cherie.lauder@safc.co.uk or visit www.foundationoflight.co.uk.
