The Black Cats stars sported special poppy shirts during Remembrance Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Everton at the Stadium of Light, and they are now being sold off in aid of the Royal British Legion.
In addition to the commemorative shirts, the club also marked Remembrance Sunday with its biggest-ever military tribute by inviting more than 2,000 serving military personnel, veterans groups and families of soldiers who have lost their lives in the service of their country, to the Everton clash
It was the ninth consecutive year that members of the Armed Forces and their families have joined with SAFC to support the country’s Remembrance Commemorations.
