Sunderland staff do their bit for Sport Relief
The City Council’s Customer Contact Centre is once again acting as a volunteer pledge centre for the event - something it’s been doing for the biennial charity event since 2009.
More than 80 people are manning the 75 telephone lines until midnight as people ring in to pledge their donations.

“We’re incredibly proud of our staff and the way they always pull out all the stops to support events like Sport Relief and Red Nose Day.”
