Sunderland set for narrow survival again with fourth-bottom Premier League finish, predicts William Hill

The Black Cats are set to narrowly escape relegation again, according to bookmakers William Hill.

More than 200,000 have so far submitted entries to the bookies £50million Prem Predictor, which gathers information on who Britain thinks will finish top, bottom and everywhere between in this year’s Premier League.

Sunderland have been the subject of more than 30,000 wagers to finish in 17th place – the most selections for that position, and the most selections for Sunderland.

It comes after the club’s own sponsor Dafabet tipped them for the drop.
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: “Season after season, Sunderland survive by the skin of their teeth and our customers think they will do exactly that once again,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.”

The £50million on offer is the biggest prize ever offered by a bookmaker and costs just £2 to play. Punters need correctly predict the final order of all 20 Premier League sides to win. The competition closes on Saturday at 3pm.
