Sunderland a second rate town

I think the people who are running Sunderland are on cloud cuckoo.

They should get out more to look at the reality of Sunderland, to see for themselves what a mess it is in.

I think they are paying too much attention to this City of Culture. This is a town not really a city. It became a city some years back because the Queen said so.

Now Sunderland is getting £6million towards the City of Culture, yet shops are empty, people on the dole Fawcett Street library closed.

This is a run down, second rate town, and yet they want to be a City of Culture.

Take The Bridges shopping centre away from Sunderland and the ‘town’ will be nothing. The Bridges binds Sunderland together.
