The profile of Sunderland AFC has been boosted Stateside as part of the club’s pre-season tour of North America.
Officials from SAFC have been linking up with the Californian football community during the Black Cats’ five day stay in the Golden State, offering advice to a number of coaches and players.
Ahead of Sunderland’s first game in Sacramento, the club delivered a workshop to a number of budding football coaches.
The session to over 50 people was led by the club’s head of international football development, Graham Robinson, who has over 25 years as a coach.
Graham said: “There is a real hunger for football amongst the young people here.
“We talked all things Sunderland because people wanted to know more about the club and our visit to America.”
