Sunderland star Jermain Defoe is looking for a personal assistant who will help run aspects of his life, from professional commitments to stocking the fridge.
The job advert, which closed to applicants today, sets out how Defoe Enterprise Ltd is searching for a highly-experienced personal assistant who will work with a senior manager of the firm.

While it details a “competitive” salary without mentioning the pay level, it links to other jobs like it which can earn between £50,000 and £59,000.
The briefing gives an insight into the life of a professional footballer, and appeals for someone who can schedule the 32-year-old’s family’s private, social and business plans, arranging public appearances, travel arrangements and business projects and maintaining daily itineraries.
On call 24/7, they must also have the skills to oversee a portfolio of houses, they staff and contractors and deal with bills, with PR experience an advantage.
The successful candidate will need to manage the diaries of Jermain, who scored in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Swansea at home, and his mum Sandra.
They will need to carry out a series of office tasks, as well as liaise with sponsors such Adidas, checking on his homes and everything is in place for his return, from ensuring the fridge is stocked, plants are watered and home is clean.
They must also organise his wardrobe for special appearances, naming Oswald Boteng, Harrods and ZAP.
Social events such as visits to the theatre, concerns, cinema and musicals, spa days and family outings, birthday celebrations and holidays.
They will also need to plan for annual events, from Mother’s Day, Black History Month, Bonfire Night, Christmas and New Year.
Branding work will involve creating “a global brand for the Jermain Defoe name”, developing his name via social networks, producing his own iPhone apps and looking for new sponsorship opportunities will also be part of the role.
Potential projects are listed as growing the Jermain Defoe Foundation, creating his own clothing line and fragrance for e-commerce on his website, staring up his own sports mentoring and management company and a football grass roots soccer academy.
