Sunderland players slammed for 'disgraceful' and 'lazy' performance in Swansea defeat

Shearer also hit out at the "lazy" performance of some of the Sunderland players as they went down to a 2-0 defeat to Swansea in their final league game of the season at the Stadium of Light.
Shearer said: "In the first half they were absolutely disgraceful - there was a complete lack of effort.

Hide Ad"It's the last home game of the season, they've been relegated, and you'd think they'd give their fans something to shout about.
"It was lazy. There was nothing in their performance at all.
"I'm surprised the fans lasted so long - they should be asking for their money back, it was that bad."
He said manager David Moyes and owner Ellis Short have been deservedly criticised this season but says the players must take their share of the blame.

Shearer, speaking on Match of the Day, added: "There is no way that team will get back up into the Premier League."
