A Sunderland mum was so inspired by the support she received at a slimming club that she’s decided to start her own.
Stephanie Constable, from Fulwell, joined Slimming World in June after being shocked by pictures from her 19-month-old daughter Gracie’s first birthday party.
She had spent a year on maternity leave over-indulging on fast foods and unhealthy snacks.
But now, after losing 2st, the 25-year-old, has decided to help others lose the weight they’ve been wanting to.
Stephanie dropped from 12st 9lbs to 10st 5½lbs, and from a size 14 to between an 8 and 10.
The Sunderland County Court worker said: “I knew I wasn’t happy with how I looked and I felt so uncomfortable in everything I wore, but for a long time I used the fact I had just had a baby as an excuse.
By making the right choices and sticking to the plan I lost 4lbs in my first week and was hooked.Stephanie Constable
“One of my friends had lost 3st and told me about Slimming World and I decided to join.
“Walking through the doors that first time was very nerve-wracking, and I didn’t no what to expect.
“I needn’t of worried as everyone made me feel so welcome and put my mind at ease straight away.
“It was time to dedicate some time for myself and make the commitment to loose weight, no more excuses.
“By making the right choices and sticking to the plan I lost 4lbs in my first week and was hooked.”
Stephanie, whose fiance Grant Carr has also shed 2st by eating the same healthy meals, added: “Slimming World food is amazing and not only has it changed my life, my partner has also lost 2st and we both feel fantastic.
“There’s no separate meals for my toddler either one of her favourites is spaghetti bolognese.
“And for the times I struggle to find the time to cook, I always have the freezer stocked with Slimming World ready meals, perfect for a busy mam on the go.”
Stephanie’s group will meet at Roker Methodist Church, in Roker Park Road, Sunderland, every Saturday from 8.30am, starting January 2. To find out more, call Stephanie on 07775 332520.
