The charity night will take place at Thorney Close Club on April 29 and will feature a fashion show from local clothing lines Brogan’s Closet and Marlee and Fee, as well as a buffet and raffle with prizes donated by a host of businesses.

Speaking about the work of the Foundation of Light, which provides sporting and educational opportunities to young people and their families, she said: “The charity is local and an amazing contribution towards our community, providing opportunities for everyone in which they can improve their lives.

“They have programmes for health, behaviour, attitude, skills, knowledge and more.

“I’m excited to be able to contribute to this amazing cause and spread the word of the charity’s work. It’s looking set to be an amazing night.”

The chosen 20 Top Model of Sunderland finalists will take part in the grand final at the Stadium of Light on June 11, which will feature a performance by X Factor finalist Kiera Weathers, who is also one of the judges. All proceeds will go to the Foundation of Light, and finalists are being tasked with fundraising for the charity in the run-up to the final.
