Sunderland man suffers serious injuries in motorcycle accident
A 20-year-old Sunderland man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a motorcycle accident.
The collision took place on Redgate Bank, near Wolsingham, County Durham, at about 4pm yesterday.
The rider was treated at the roadside by the Great North Air Ambulance Service before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infimary, in Newcastle.
He suffered serious head, leg, pelvis and chest injuries, but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
