WEARSIDE jumped to the challenge by pulling on their winter woollies for a good cause. Christmas Jumper Day was held for the third year yesterday, giving people the chance to get into the festive spirit while giving Save the Children a boost.
Among the companies to get involved was oil consultancy firm OC99 Media in Washington, with its staff members also wearing onesies in aid of the fund.
Pulman Volkswagen gave its backing to the event, as did Sunderland-based Pulse Marketing.
St Peter’s Library joined in the fun with a host of jumpers being worn by its staff, as did Elite Home, with one of its workers taking a group selfie to mark the occasion.
Ian Hazelhurst also took a shot of himself. Departments across Sunderland College also joined in for the day.
Echo staff also joined in this year’s celebration as we invited people to send in their snaps.
Collabro star Jamie Lambert was among the celebrities to sign up to the campaign, as did his mum Lorraine, who is executive director of South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, his sister Caitlin and his pug pup Peggy.
