Sunderland homes and business hit by water supply problems
Interruptions to the water supply were causing problems for some Sunderland residents today.
Northumbrian Water said it was working to resolve the issue which hit the SR2 postcode area this morning.
Its Twitter account @nwater_care tweeted: "We are still working to resolve water supply interruptions. Hourly updates to follow."
A similar problem was also affecting the DH6 postcode at Bowburn, County Durham.
