A HOMELESS charity in Sunderland is to get an £80,000 makeover.

Property maintenance specialist Novus Property Solutions, will carry out the refurbishment of the Centrepoint offices in Foyle Street.

The Gateshead-based contractors will do work in eight rooms on the basement, and first floors of one of the organisation’s terraced buildings.

The work will take place over six weeks and will include the completion of electrical work such as lighting and emergency lighting, along with the installation of CCTV and intruder alarms. Novus will also carry out decoration, plastering and joinery, install new toilets and complete external works including roofing and bricklaying.

Novus operations manager Mark Rapley said: “We are excited to be working in partnership with Centrepoint for the first time and hope that we will continue to work together on future projects.”
