Sunderland home game against Scunthorpe moved as away allocation revealed for Darlington friendly

Sunderland's home game against Scunthorpe United in League One has been pushed back 24-hours.

The Black Cats were due to host Scunthorpe on Saturday, August 18 at the Stadium of Light but the game will now take place on Sunday, August 19 (KO 3pm).

The fixture has been changed because Sunderland's Carabao Cup first round tie against Sheffield Wednesday was selected by Sky Sports and moved to Thursday 16 (KO 7.45pm).

Meanwhile, the away allocation has been confirmed for Sunderland's first pre-season game of the summer, away to Darlington - with the Black Cats allocated 1,262 tickets.

Jack Ross will take his Sunderland side to face Darlington at Blackwell Meadows on Wednesday, July 11 (KO 7.30pm).

A club statement read: "Sunderland AFC has been allocated 1262 tickets for this game, which will go on sale to 2018-19 season card holders with 30 or more black cats points, from 9am, Tuesday 26 June, until 4.30pm, Wednesday 27 June.

"Subject to availability, all other season card holders can the purchase from 9am until 4.30pm, Thursday 28 June. Season card holders are also advised that they will be awarded a black cat point for pre-season games.

"Should any tickets remain after the season card holder priority period, then a general sale will commence from 9am, Friday 29 June."
