And Ron Baker also wrote: "Please Please Please Lads.... do it for yourselves tonight.... one last MASSIVE push. We have the chance, let's make sure we do the job required, as I know for a fact we 40,000 will do our bit!!"

Unbeaten in their last four games, including a superb 3-2 win over Chelsea on Saturday, Sunderland sit a point clear of the relegation zone with two games left, meaning another three points tonight will see them playing Premier League football again next season.

Striker Fabio Borini, who brought Sunderland level on Saturday before Jermain Defoe's winner, said: "These games are the ones with the biggest pressure and that’s where I’ve performed the best."

And Black Cats fan Clive Lee said on Facebook: "Do the business tonight Fabio! And you will all be treat like Kings as you walk the streets of Wearside!!"

With the game officially a sell-out, Sunderland have asked fans to arrive early to make sure you can take your seat before the 7:45pm kick off.
