A SUNDERLAND company has handed over more than £600 to charity.
WeBuyDvds.co.uk raised £601.45 for Children In Need by buying unwanted DVDs, CDs and games, with every penny going to charity.
The company, based in Colima Avenue, Wessington Way, teamed up with about 30 businesses across the North East to allow staff to take their unwanted goods into work and received celebrity backing for their efforts, including from BBC Look North presenter Jeff Brown, originally from Sunderland.
This year, Children in need raised a record £31million during the live telethon alone, smashing the previous record
All proceeds from this campaign are going to help one of Children in Need’s 2,700 children’s projects across the UK.
