Sunderland care home boss wins national award

A CARE home boss has won a national award for the work he had done with those who suffer from dementia.

Bijumon Joseph, who is a nurse and deputy manager at the HC-One Falstone Court and Manor Care Home in Whitburn Road, Roker, was hailed the winner of the Dementia Care Personality Award at the National Dementia Care Awards.

Bijumon, who has worked at the home for a decade, won the award for his dedication to the home and for the work he does for the residents who live with dementia. He is the home’s dementia champion and works with residents, relatives and staff to ensure that residents receive the best care.
