BEAUTY queen Stephanie Robson is flying the flag for Sunderland.
The 18-year-old, from Seaburn, is practising her best catwalk strut and modelling poses in preparation for the country’s biggest beauty pageant this weekend – Miss England.
The sports development, coaching and fitness student will battle it out against a bevy of other beauties from across the country at the finals in Torquay.
Stephanie will compete as Miss 24 Carat in the contest after winning the title by impressing judges, including reigning Miss England Charlotte Holmes, at a regional heat.
“It’s a brilliant opportunity and I can’t wait to compete,” said the former Monkwearmouth School pupil.
Annual pageant Miss 24 Carat was set up by city businesswoman Jodie Breeds who owns 24 Carat salon in Grangetown.
She said: “I think Steph stands a really good chance. She’s done everything that’s required of Miss England and has put 110 per cent effort in.”
Sixty girls will compete in Miss England on Saturday and Sunday in rounds including beach body, talent, sportswoman, popularity and more.
