Sunderland band rack up thousands of Youtube views for new single
Just days after its release, Be Forever Mine by Social Room has already been viewed by nearly 3,500 people.
It’s the fourth single from the home-grown act who are building up a loyal following in the North East for their indie rock sound.

Hide AdThe band, made up of Matty Smith on lead vocals, guitarist Adam Potts, guitarist Simon Bewick, bass player Alex Gunn, drummer Adam Jefferson and Chris Leonard on keys, have just enjoyed their busiest few months yet after hitting the festival circuit.
They’ve been reaching a wider audience with sets at events including Lindisfarne Festival in Northumberland, Willowman in North Yorkshire, Stockton Calling and We Are Family in Hartlepool.
After a busy performance schedule, they’re heading back into the studio to write more tracks with a view to releasing their debut album.
Matty said: “We’re over the moon with how well Be Forever Mine has done so far. It’s a song about love at first sight and it’s getting a great response from people.

Hide Ad“We formed last year so this was our first summer doing festivals and it was great to get out there on the bigger stages. We really need to keep it going, we’ve got quite a bit of a following in Sunderland now and we’re really trying to build on that.
“Our main goal is get a record contract, we’re not just doing this for a bit of fun.”
