Sunderland AFC v Hull City team news: David Moyes makes one change for crunch clash

Sunderland boss David Moyes has made one change for the visit of Hull City - with Jason Denayer in for the suspended Steven Pienaar.

The veteran midfielder was red-carded in the 2-1 win over Bournemouth and serves a one-match ban for today's crunch clash at the Stadium of Light.

Denayer played in midfield for Sunderland in the recent Checkatrade Trophy win over Notts County.

Victor Anichebe keeps his place in the side after starring in the 2-1 win over Bournemouth before the international break, while Jordan Pickford keeps his place in goal despite the return of Vito Mannone from injury.

Sunderland are bottom heading into the game, with Hull third-bottom.

Hull boss Mike Phelan has made three changes from the team that beat Southampton 2-1.

In come Robert Snodgrass, Dieumerci Mbokani and Josh Tymon in place of Maguire, Keane and Hernández.
