Sunderland AFC transfer news: Cats linked with January swoop for Arsenal defender
Right-back has been a problem area for Sunderland in recent seasons but the recent form of Billy Jones has won praise from Sunderland manager David Moyes.
Despite Jones' improved form, the Black Cats have been linked with a January move for Jenkinson in today's national press.

The former Charlton defender joined Arsenal in the summer of 2011 and has since had two spells on loan at West Ham United.
Sunderland were in for Jenkinson last summer on loan but he instead opted to join the Hammers.
It remains to be seen whether Sunderland will make a move for Jenkinson, though, given Moyes has several other options at right back with Javier Manquillo, Donald Love and Jason Denayer all capable of playing there.
