He declined to comment on speculation surrounding Kone.

The Turkish champions are reported to be on the lookout for a winger and they have been linked with a move for Dutch midfielder Lens.

Ex-Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat - who had enjoyed two previous spells working with Lens - brought him to the club last summer in an initial £8million deal.

Despite a disappointing 2015-16 campaign, he has featured heavily in pre-season and is set to start against Manchester City on Saturday teatime.
