Speculation continues over Yann M'Vila's future, with suggestions in France that an agreement is in place with Sunderland.

As reported earlier this week, it is understood that Sunderland are confident of re-signing M'Vila after his successful loan spell last season.

However, there has been a departure from the Stadium of Light today, with winger Will Buckley joining Championship club Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan, which will take him to the end of his Sunderland contract.

Buckley becomes the fourth player considered surplus to requirements to leave the club this summer after Emanuele Giaccherini, Santiago Vergini and Adam Matthews.
