Right-back has been a problem area for Sunderland in recent seasons but the recent form of Jones has won praise from Moyes.

Despite Jones' improved form, the Black Cats have been linked with a January move for Jenkinson in today's national press.

The 24-year-old has only made five appearances for the Gunners so far this season, with just one appearance in the Premier League.Meanwhile, Fit-again Adnan Januzaj has promised he’ll be back on top of his game soon after returning to action.

The on-loan Manchester United winger started and scored for Sunderland Under-23s in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.
