Meanwhile, Sunderland have been linked with a move for Bristol City centre-back Aden Flint, according to the Mirror.

The 26-year-old has earned a reputation as a goalscoring defender, having netted 22 goals in 114 games for the Robins, who he helped win promotion to the Championship last term.

And reports suggest Sunderland are tracking him along with Premier League rivals West Brom.
