THE summer is about to get started, forecasters are predicting.
Weather experts at the Met Office claim the north could be in for an Indian summer as temperatures start to hot up this week.
They predict people living in the North will be able to bask in the warm weather as temperatures hit the low 20s, although some parts will have to dodge a few showers.
Temperatures are expected to steadily rise to 23˚C by Wednesday across the region, with people down south enjoying temperatures of up to 27˚C.
Chris Tubbs, of the Met Office, said: “It’s too early to give precise detail but the dominant signal is for much of the UK to get fine weather from Tuesday.”
