Students have the right moves

Pupils at Kepier academy in Houghton are gearing up to take to the dance floor for their annual community show.

Dave Brennan, community development manager at the Dairy Lane school, said: “The PE staff do a lot of work with our learners on dance routines.

“This tuition goes on all year, with the staff and learners often giving up evenings and weekends to rehearse and get ready for the show.”

Their teacher, Aimee Carr, said: “The girls have produced some fantastic routines, coming up with their own choreography and choosing the music. It is lovely to see so much hard work and dedication from them all.”
