Stray dogs need your vote

A COUNTY Durham animal welfare charity is urging everyone to help them clinch prize funding.

Stray Aid, which rescues, cares for and rehomes stray and abandoned dogs from across the county, has entered a national contest with Support Adoption for Pets and hopes to clinch the winning prize of £50,000. The charity, which has shops in Easington and Seaham, is currently fund-raising to build much-needed new kennels to cater for the huge influx of dogs.

Winning the money would give the project a massive boost.

Staff at the kennels, which is situated at Coxhoe, created and uploaded a video about the work they do and as many people as possible are urged to go online and vote for Stray Aid.
