NORTH East office workers would rather commute than move closer to work, claims the firm behind the successful Rainton Bridge business park.
A survey by property group Goodman suggests the majority are happy with their daily commute.
Almost nine out of 10 respondents said they did not consider moving closer to work.
Niall McGilp, regional development director for Goodman, said: “Our research shows many office workers are understandably reluctant to move home in order to be closer to the workplace.
“Employers should consider the availability of public transport and ease of access to major roads in order to ensure their employees are able to get to work easily, safely and on time.”
