St Mary & St Peter’s Community Project, Springwell Road, Sunderland: Christmas Coffee morning, Wednesday, December 16 10am-11am, everyone welcome.
Christmas Disco, Friday, December 10 5pm-7pm, £2 per child, will include hot dog and drink. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are limited and must be purchased before the day.
St Mary and St Peters next Fairtrade stall is on Sunday, November 29 after the 9.30am Eucharist. The children’s Sunday school meets at the same time as the Eucharist, we have room for more children. St Mary and St Peters toy service will be on December 6. Toys will be blessed at the Eucharist before being distributed to children who otherwise may not have a toy at Christmas.
Thornbury Care Centre will be holding its Christmas fair on Saturday, December 12, 1pm-3pm. There will be lots of Christmas bargains and stalls, tombola, drinks and refreshments and much more. There will also be a visit from Santa, so please come along early and have a photo of your family with Santa absolutely free. Thornbury Care Centre Macmillan day of tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes raised £79.99 for the head agency of the Macmillan nurses and raised £40 for the local Sunderland branch of the Macmillan nurses. Activities co-ordinator Jim wishes to thank everyone who supported this worthwhile cause on the day. Thornbury Care Centre Christmas preparations are well on the way including a Christmas quiz , parties and visits from local schools and local church St Mary & St Peter’s and a special visit from Santa.
