Exercise sessions are held at the project on Mondays from 10am to 10.45am and Tuesdays from 10am to 10.45am. They are suitable for all ages and abilities. The session will include the use of Easyline machines plus circuit training, each week is different. Sessions cost £2. For more information please contact Sarah. Saint Mary and St Peter’s Community Project will be holding an autumn fair on Saturday from 10am to noon. There will be face painting, free hand massage and Reki taster sessions, tombola, raffle, cake stall and refreshments.
Countdown to Christmas children’s craft sessions start on Monday, November 2, from 4pm to 5.30pm and will run for five weeks. Each week will be a different Christmas themed craft, including Christmas cards, baubles, decorations and much more. Sessions will cost £1.50. Booking is advisable as places are limited.
A Christmas disco will take place on Friday, December 18, from 5pm to 7pm. Tickets are £2 per child and will include a hot dog and drink.Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are limited and must be purchased before the day.
Susan Ridley School Of Dance, based at the project, holds sessions on Mondays. Sessions are: 5pm to 6.15pm intermediate ballet (not suitable for new people as rather advanced); 6.15pm to 7.15pm musical theatre, eight to 20 years, £5 and beginners are welcome. Sessions will include singing, dance and drama. Hopefully starting soon: 6.15pm to 7.15pm, ladies tap class, £5; 7.15pm to 8.15pm ladies ballet class, £5. Saint Mary and St Peter’s Church will hold a special service on Sunday at 6pm for All Souls. The Sunday Eucharist is at 9.30am followed by refreshments. The children’s Sunday school meets at the same time. All are welcome.
On Friday, November 13, Saint Mary and St Peter’s will hold a fish and chips supper and entertainment. More details later.
Humbledon Methodist Church, Ettrick Grove, will hold a coffee morning with crafts and gifts stalls in the church hall on Saturday, November 7, at 10.30am, Admission is £2, which includes coffee.
Morning worship on Remembrance Sunday, November 8, at 10.45am in Humbledon Methodist Church will be led by the Rev David Richardson. The Christmas lunch with carols will be on Saturday, November 28, from 12.30pm. Tickets priced £12 are now available.
