Second To None is a small community clothing store, within St Mary and St Peter’s Community Project. It sells clothes,shoes and bags at affordable prices and is open Monday to Friday from 11am. The shop would also be grateful for good, clean donations. Contact Sarah for more information.
Feel Trim sessions are held in the project on Mondays from 10am to 10.45am, using easyline machines combined with circuit training. These session are suitable for all ages and abilities, £2 per person.
The garden team at the project is looking for volunteers to help out in the community garden. You can do as little or as much as you like. For more information, contact Sarah, or call into the project have a look around and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
Saint Mary and St Peter’s Church hold services at the following times: Sunday, 9-30am Eucharist and children’s Sunday School followed by refreshments; Monday: Eucharist at 1.30pm; Tuesday at 6pm and Thursday at 9.30am. A healing service with the laying on of hands is held on the first Sunday of the month at 6pm. A service is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 2pm at Thornbury Care Home.
Humbledon Methodist Church, Ettrick Grove, holds a number of weekly events: Sunday: Morning worshipat 10.45am; Monday: Brownies at 6.30pm Tuesday:
Weight Watchers from 6pm; Wednesdays: open door from 10.30am to 1pm, coffee and light lunches served; Thursday: Slimming World from 6.30pm.
Thornbury Care Centre would like to thank everyone who supported its summer fair on August 8. It raised more than £721. A special thank you to the Reverend Katherine Bagnall, who opened the fair.
