The Salvation Army, Southwick, Macmillan Coffee Morning would like to say well done to everyone who helped make the day a success by donating, baking and helping out. The help was greatly appreciated. A total of £250.31 was raised – a big thank you.
There is lots going on at The Salvation Army for all the family. Activities are: Breakfast club every morning from 8am to 8.45am, enjoy toast, cereal and a cuppa with your children before they go to school (free); enjoy lunch at The Daily Bread Café, 9am to 1.30pm, Monday to Thursday; Friday, 9am to 11.30am, full English breakfast for £2 including a cuppa; Kidz Alive, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3.30pm to 5.30pm, go along for tea and enjoy arts and crafts, games, trips out, (tea) children 60p, adults £1.10; Cameo Club every Wednesday, make new friends, lotto, quizzes, cooked meal, Bible thoughts and much more. Crafts are held on Mondays and Tuesdays, painting on Wednesdays 10am to noon. A small fee applies.
Southwick Health and Community Forum runs the following: Monday: Kids Club, Reception to Year 6, games, cooking, arts and crafts, and trips out. Cost is £1 which includes healthy snack. Tuesday, toddler group, 9am to 11am, play time, singing, crafts, cooking, painting.
Cost is £1 per child includes healthy snack for the children and a cuppa for parents. Tuesday, 12.30pm keep fit session. Wednesday, ladies group, enjoy a cuppa and a laugh, lunch, bingo and different activities in a friendly environment. Thursday, 10am to 11am seated chair exercise for over 55s. Cost is £2.
