Summer activities at Southwick Community Forum were well attended. The children of Southwick had lots of entertainment over the six weeks holiday including trips to Blackpool, Scarborough, fun days, baking sessions and visits to local parks and museums.
Seated exercise sessions, which take place on Thursday mornings from 10am-11am, have spaces for new members. Go along and enjoy gentle seated exercise in a friendly environment. Everyone is welcome . Sessions cost £3 including refreshments.
Toddlers meet every Tuesday from 9.15am-11am. Sessions include messy play,s ign language, singing, arts and crafts, baking, healthy snack for the children and tea or coffee for adults. Sessions cost £1 and everyone is welcome
Healthy Me runs healthy cooking classes every Tuesday from 3.15pm- 5pm. The children cook, learn how to chop fruit and veg under the supervision of qualified staff. Cost is £1.
The Forum has a number of courses lined up for the future. Watch this space for knitting, sewing and basic sign language classes.
All the trips arranged by the Salvation Army were well attended over the six weeks holiday. Families visited Adventure Valley, Flamingo Land and Scarborough.
Fun Days at the Salvation Army included bouncy castles, go-karts , arts and crafts, the place and fire brigade called in to meet the children and give out information.
