South Hylton Independent Methodist Church has a variety of events taking place this month. On October 17, 18, and 19, children from the village primary school will be going along to the Bible Comes Alive sessions. This annual event tells stories and the children can meet characters from the Bible. On October 24,25 and 26 there will be a children’s Holiday Club in the church from 10.30am to noon. The theme is Building High. All children are welcome to go along. Friday Gang will not meet this Friday. Members will be at Silksworth IM Church taking part in Churches Got Talent. Because of the various activities Women,s Fellowship will not meet on October 19 and 24.

South Hylton Local History Society will meet in the Tansy Centre on Monday, October 17, at 7pm. Norman Kirtlan will be the speaker with To the Workhouse Born. Entrance to this popular monthly meeting is £1.50 which includes tea or coffee, biscuits and a door raffle.

Karate sessions are held every Sunday from 10am to 11am in the Tansy Centre. New members are welcome.

On October 24,25 and 26 there will be Karate sessions for children from 10am to 4pm in South Hylton Tansy Centre. You can take your children along to meet Rebecca who has organised these events.
