The latest batch of TV games has been confirmed with the focus instead on the early battle for promotion in the Sky Bet Championship.

Sunderland are struggling at the wrong end of the table, second bottom on seven points after 11 games.

Sunderland’s form has clearly not caught the imagination of TV executives with the focus firmly on the division’s in-form teams.

Of those games selected, current play-off rivals Preston North End and Aston Villa will each be hoping to claim an important three points as they go head-to-head on Wednesday, November 1 at Deepdale.

Sheffield Wednesday’s visit to Ipswich Town then follows the international break on Wednesday, November 22, just days before an important double header as Barnsley host Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, November 25 and Birmingham City visit Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United.

The final match in November sees QPR host Brentford in a Monday night game on Monday, November 27. The final two fixtures currently confirmed for December see Norwich City host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, December 9 and Cardiff City travel to Reading the following Monday.
