Six-vehicle crash on A19 causes delays of up to 30 minutes

A crash on the A19 northbound caused significant traffic delays to morning traffic.

At around 7.50am on Friday, November 22, Durham Police were called to reports of a crash on the A19 northbound at Easington.

Police and traffic officers found six cars involved and they worked together to clear the carriageway.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “No injuries have been reported and the scene was quickly cleared.”

Traffic experienced delays of up to 30 minutes during this time.

The road is now clear.
