TWO sisters appeared in court accused of biting a woman’s ear during a fracas in a cricket club.

Louise Scollen and Kate Temple are alleged to have injured their victim in Murton Cricket Club last July.

Scollen, 38, of St John’s Terrace, and Temple, 32, of Windermere Road, both Seaham, face charges of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and unlawful wounding.

They pleaded not guilty to all charges during a plea hearing at Durham Crown Court.

Judge Peter Kelson QC set a trial date of October 6. Both women were released on unconditional bail.
