He took them to landmarks across Wearside, including the Stadium of Light, Penshaw Monument, Roker Beach and Hendon Fish Quay, and took pictures of them to add to his collection.

The photographs have now been placed in the room of son Travis William Aidan Angus, who was born on January 28.

Aidan said: “Ghostbusters was massive for me, as it was for a lot of young people when I was growing up.

“I’ve been a massive Ghostbusters fan since I was a child, and thought I would fuse the lego figures with the greatest city on the planet.

Hendon Fish Quay was another location visited by the Ghostbusters figures.

“I went to places with strong ties to the city, particularly the Stadium of Light, because I’m a massive Sunderland AFC fan.

“The pictures are being mounted to go up on the wall in my baby’s room, so he’ll be into Ghostbusters from a very young age, and hopefully have as much pride in this city as I do.”

Aidan’s partner, Gaynor Walsh, embraces his passion for all things Ghostbusters.

Aidan added: “The original Ghostbusters was excellent, and I got all the action figures and toys.

“It was a massive part of my childhood, and everyone from the 1980s will be able to relate to it.

“My partner loves the passion I have for it and the fact I’m passing that on to Travis.”

Aidan has travelled the world with his charity, Lens Relief, which helps people and charities who don’t have the budget to employ a photographer.

He continues to volunteer whenever he can.
