Search for shopper after woman leaves Sunderland Asda store with packed trolley of stolen goods

Police are trying to trace a woman who filled a supermarket trolley and walked out without paying.

Police would like to speak to this woman as part of their investigation.

Officers have released a photo of the woman they are trying to trace as they investigate the shoplifting offence.

The incident happened on Tuesday, January 12, at Asda in Ryhope Street South.

Officers are keen to speak to the woman pictured as it's thought she was in the store at the time and may be able to help with inquiries.

The woman, or anyone who recognises her, is asked to get in contact with police on 101 quoting reference 813 120116 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
