Search for men after reports of attempted Sunderland dog theft
At 1.15pm today a man challenged two other men in Conway Road, Hylton Castle, over concerns they were attempting to steal dogs.
The men threatened him man and damaged the van he was in before making off in their own van, which was red and green.

Hide AdThe offenders then abandoned their van in Ferryboat Lane and got into a black car. Inquiries are under way to trace the vehicle.
No dogs have been recovered.
