This evening, Tuesday, September 13, Susan Smally will preside at the 7pm evening service in Seaham Spiritualist Church. All welcome. There is a cover charge of £3.50 on most services.

A party of celebration for Ada Metcalf’s 100th birthday has been organised by family members, and will be held on Ada’s birthday this Thursday, September 15, in Earl House, New Seaham.

St Andrew’s Church, Dalton-le-Dale, will hold a Harvest Evensong on Thursday, September 15, at 7pm. Refreshments will be served after the service. The celebration of Harvest Communion will be held on Sunday, September 18 at 6pm. All welcome.

Eastlea Community Centre, Stockton Road, Seaham, holds a ‘Gentle Exercise’ for older adults, noon-1pm to help improve strength, co-ordination and balance. Price £1 per sessions. For further information tel. 0191 5812399.

A free ‘Craft and Chat’ meeting is held every Monday, 10am-noon, in Enfield Road Church Hall, Eastlea. All are welcome to come and join in the good atmosphere.

Christ Church Toddler Group, which meets every Tuesday morning, 9.30-11am in the Church Hall, now has a few vacancies for new starters. Come along and have a word with Jane, or one of the helpers.

On Sunday, September 18, (17th Sunday after Trinity) a service of Holy Communion will be held in Christ Church, New Seaham, at 10am. Evening Prayer will be held at 6pm. All are welcome.

A Harvest Supper with broth and stottie will be held in St John’s Parish Room on September 22, commencing at 7pm.

A ‘PACT’ meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 14, at 5pm in Parkside Community Centre. This is an opportunity to meet with members of the police, local councillors and residents to discuss concerns and projects affecting your local community.
