This evening, Paul Merryweather will preside at the evening service at 7pm in Seaham Spiritualist Church. There is a cover charge of £3.50 on most services.

Seaham Theatre Productions begin the presentation of Black Adder this evening, running until Thursday in Seaham Town Hall at 7.15pm. Tickets are £8. Phone 0191 5131314 or 07717 943274 for more details.

Tomorrow, Seaham Branch of the Royal British Legion will meet at 7pm in the Farm Scouting Centre, Parkside Road. New members are welcome.

Seaham Methodist Church will hold a free children’s summer holiday club, with sporty craft making, games and music from August 22 to August 26. This is designed for children between the ages of five and 11. To book a place, contact Deacon Esther Longe.

All Sunday Worship Services at Seaham Methodist Church, Tempest Road, commence at 3pm.

Sunday Services at Christ Church, New Seaham, for the ninth week after Trinity, are Holy Communion at 10am and Evening Prayer at 6pm. There will be the usual Wednesday morning Holy Communion at 10am. Everyone, men, women and children are welcome to attend and join in the fellowship. Vestry is held in the church on Monday evenings at 7pm.

There will be no monthly Friday lunch at Christ Church this month and next. The next meal will be served between 11.30am and 1pm on Friday, September 23. Help is needed with the preparation and serving. Contact Vi or Celia for further information or to offer help.

Many thanks to all those who supported Christ Church summer fair. A grand total of £1,168.26 was raised for church funds.
