Dawdon (2nd Seaham) Beavers, Cubs and Scouts had a Pudsey Bear Fun Evening in the Farm Scouting Centre, Parkside Road, and raised £114 for Children In Need. Well done everyone.

Seaham Methodist Church will hold a Christmas fair on Saturday from 10am. There will be festive home baked goods, stocking fillers and much more. Money from this supports the church building fund. Entry to the fair is £1 which includes a free cup of tea or coffee. Everybody is welcome.

On Sunday at 3pm, Seaham Methodist Church will hold its Christingle service, which is a family service celebrating the advent of Christmas. Each child will receive a Christingle orange to take home. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone is welcome.

On Friday, December 11, at Seaham Methodist Church there will be Ten Workshop. Join members for a festive cafe-style service with contemporary music by the Worship Band. The December meeting of the Seaham Branch of the Royal British Legion will be held on Wednesday, December 9, one week earlier than usual, at 7.30pm in the Farn Scouting Centre, Parkside Road.

Seaham Seafarers Centre, Port of Seaham, will hold its carol service on Monday, December 14, at 7pm in the Seafarers’ Centre Building (near the Dock Gates). Gifts for seafarers away from home over Christmas will be gratefully accepted.

The civic carol service is to be held at Christ Church, New Seaham, on Wednesday, December 16. All are welcome.
